  • Anything that replaces a licensed medical professional

Escalation

What happens when a conversation escalates

Escalation is a defined state, not a mood. When a conversation meets an escalation condition, the educational track stops and CheckPeps points you toward a licensed professional instead.

Escalation means:

  • The educational answer is not continued in a shorter or softer form.
  • Rephrasing the question does not reopen it. The boundary is in the system, not in the wording.
  • CheckPeps states plainly that the topic needs a professional, rather than going quiet or changing the subject.

In an emergency

CheckPeps is not an emergency service and cannot help in an urgent situation. If you think you are having a medical emergency, adverse drug reaction, or life-threatening event, immediately call your local emergency number (such as 911 in the United States) or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
